1. When you was a year 7, what piece of software would you usually use to make posters?
In Year 7 we would have used Paint
2. What have you used for the posters(Imaging Software) you have made on this course?
I have used gimp because it has a range of tools which has better features.
3. What things can you do better using this new software?
You can crop more neatly because there is a tool where you can make paths.
4. Name your 1 favourite tool you have been using in this new software and WHY it is so useful.
The crop tool because a lot if images have white backgrounds or stuff that you don't want and with this tool you can cut out a specific shape or part of the image you want.
5. In Imaging software what was wrong with a particular image that you cut out from another picture in order to use?
There was part of a image covering the cropped picture so i reduced the opacity.
6. What did you do in order to get a cleaner cut?
In order to get a cleaner cut used to the sharpen tools on the edges which smoothed it out.
7. Why is it important to get a clean cut?
It is important to get a cleaner cut so that it looks professional and will make it look good quality.
8. When you saved your poster originally the poster size was quite big(file size). Why was this?
The file size was big because the quality was very high.
9. What did you have to do to reduce the file size?
To reduce the file size you had to reduce the quality of the poster by exporting it on gimp.
10. Why was it better to reduce the file size of the poster?
If you are sending it to someone it is quicker.
