1.2 I can take appropriate security precautions to protect IT systems and data
My teacher has observed me handling document files responsibly with a capability in relation to basic security when working in the school IT suites during my INGOT lessons.
I adhered to the following routines:
Never to swap passwords with others
Always keep my passwords secure by using a mixture of letters, numbers and symbols
Avoid to use ineffective passwords (eg the word "password" or a single key stroke)
Never download or attempt to download information that is against our school’s AUP & Responsible Internet Use policies or is not known to be secure.
I know that the school’s IT technicians regularly check that the Windows Systems and anti-virus software are up to date.
